One of the best things about living in Minnesota is the sheer depth of our local music scene. Whether it’s catching a high-energy rock show at The Green Room in Uptown Minneapolis, or discovering a great acoustic duo at Brianno’s down in Lakeville, there is always something worth hearing. As a musician myself, I built this gallery to document the incredible talent I see across the Twin Cities and the south metro. I recently had the privilege of witnessing Frankie Torres perform an acoustic cover of Adele’s 'All I Ask' at Snapped Open Mic at the Green Room in Uptown, and it was a transformative experience. Her vocal power is rare—piercing, soulful, and resonant.

Many will recognize Frankie from her incredible run on Season 26 of NBC’s The Voice, where she earned a four-chair turn and was coached by both Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire. While her national success is well-deserved, she remains a powerhouse in the Twin Cities music scene. Whether she is performing solo or fronting her band, Midnight Rambler, Frankie is a must-see artist for anyone who appreciates raw talent and vocal mastery."

Caught an incredible night at the Minnesota Music Cafe in St. Paul! This is Strange Daze covering the local legend, Prince. The lead singer really channeled an Eddie Vedder-style intensity and vocal grit that brought a whole new energy to this classic.

Soulful Gospel-Style "Happy Birthday" at The Green Room Uptown

This has to be the most powerful "Happy Birthday" ever performed in Uptown Minneapolis. I caught this during an open mic night at The Green Room. This talented regular always brings a massive, gospel-choir energy to the stage that turns a simple song into a full experience.

70s Magic Sunshine Band: "Hotel California" Finale | Live at Brianno’s

Watching the 70s Magic Sunshine Band tackle the iconic "Hotel California" twin-guitar solo is always a highlight. This high-energy performance was recorded live at Brianno’s in Lakeville, MN. It’s a perfect example of the vibrant live music culture in the south metro.

This was a standout moment from Gabe at an open mic night at The Green Room. I finally caught his name at a recent set, and he is a powerhouse on the blues classics. Capturing raw talent like this is exactly why I’m a regular in the Twin Cities music scene.

The legendary opening track from Beggars Banquet, performed live at The Green Room. Documenting the vibrant sounds of these local shows has quickly become one of my favorite creative outlets.
